MP4Joiner for Mac
On macOS, MP4Joiner ships inside the same free, open-source MP4Tools suite: one disk image, MP4Tools-3.8-MacOSX.dmg, installs both MP4Joiner (merge) and MP4Splitter (split). Version 3.8 (20 November 2019) is the latest and final release.
Official file from SourceForge, the project’s distribution channel. Terabox third-party mirror (hosted by a third party, not the official channel).

Intel build from 2019 — an honest note on Apple Silicon
This DMG was built in 2019, in the Intel era. The developer has never officially verified or announced native Apple Silicon (M-series) support, and there is no Universal binary. Whether the app runs acceptably on an M-series Mac through Rosetta 2 is not something the project guarantees, and we will not promise it either. On Intel Macs running OS X 10.10 or later, the package matches its official system requirement.
How to install
- Download
MP4Tools-3.8-MacOSX.dmgusing the button above and, if you wish, verify its SHA-256 hash against the fact box. - Open the DMG and drag the MP4Tools apps to your Applications folder.
- On first launch, macOS Gatekeeper will likely block the app because it is not signed by an identified developer — this is expected for this package.
- Right-click (Control-click) the app and choose Open, then confirm. The official project wiki documents this same situation for Catalina and later in its “Starting on Mac Catalina” note.
Step-by-step help: MP4Joiner “unidentified developer” on Mac — how to open it safely.
What you get
MP4Joiner merges multiple MP4 files into one without re-encoding and without quality loss, provided the clips share the same encoding parameters (for example, recorded on the same device with the same settings). Files with different parameters can be joined with the force re-encoding option, which is slower and not lossless. See How to join MP4 files and the FAQ.
All-platform downloads are on the download page; the Windows edition is covered on MP4Joiner for Windows, and the suite’s other half on MP4Splitter.
